However much a house may be about the bricks and mortar, the things that truly transform it into a home are the decorative finishing touches.
Introduction
The use of decorative castings in buildings and gardens is an art that has survived for many centuries in Europe. Originally they were used in the embellishment of castles, grand and stately gardens due to the costs of marble and the other materials that were used.
Many sculptures have become know worldwide. Examples are sculptures by Michael Angelo and many of the works by Rodin.
Today we all still feel the need to beautify our homes and gardens, and fortunately the use of cement has made it possible for most of us to do so.
Company History
Style Décor was established in 1965 by the parents of the present day owner and except for a short interlude of 4 years, the business has been in the family for 41 years.
The business was originally established as a Tea Garden (Chappy’s Tea Garden) and a small landscaping business. A limited range of planters, plaques and columns were manufactured and sold to the public.
Initially the “factory” was an old chicken run with a total of 5 workers! Over the years the business expanded and added many new ranges to the products it supplies. Initially the main focus was on garden products and ornamental building products, but as the demand changed the company adapted and added new products ranges and manufacturing materials to its repertoire.
In 1989 a large range of interior products were added to the range. These products included tables, coffee tables, servers and sculptures in a variety of colors and finishes. In 1991 the company exhibited these products at the Macef trade show in Milan Italy and they were very well received.
In 1989 a large steel structure was built (where the current interior showroom and boardroom are located) to accommodate the production of the interior products. In 1995 the factory was expanded by an excess of 1200sqm, the interior showroom by 800sqm and the exterior display area by 900sqm
In 2002 the factory was once again expanded to include a more specialized mould shop where all the masters, patterns and moulds are manufactured for the products manufactured by the company.
In 2004 the factory was once again expanded by another 2800sqm and thereby increasing the capacity drastically.
Product information
The company specializes in the manufacture of both functional and decorative ornamental concrete products for a large variety of applications. Designs range from classical to modern as well as ethnic.

Builders’ products such as:-
Columns, Ballusters, Window Sills, Copings, Pier Caps
Interior products such as:-
Tables, Coffee Tables, Sculptures, Servers
Steel products such as:-
Domes, Benches, Ornamental Bicycles, Arches
New product ranges are added on a regular basis and the extensive interior and exterior showrooms are open 7 days a week (except for Easter Friday & the Christmas weekend) to make it easier for the public, architects, landscapers, contractors and designers to select the desired items.
Materials currently used for the manufacture of products are Ornamental Concrete, Stone Compounds, Textile & Fiber Cement, Fiberglass and Steel.
Products are re-enforced with steel where necessary and building products are manufactured to the required specifications. This facility makes Style Décor an ideal partner for developments such as Town houses & Shopping centers.
The company has an in-house mould shop with highly specialized staff. This enables Style Décor to manufacture moulds and mouldings to the specifications of the client.
Because interior & exterior products are manufactured on the same we can use the color finishes on exterior products too.
